本實驗室以神經細胞為平台,研究神經性退化性疾病,尤其是針對巴金森氏症,尋找保護多巴胺神經細胞之藥物及探討其治療機轉,並以此為基礎進行動物實驗。除此之外,實驗室發現神經胜肽尿皮質素可影響細胞週期,進而促進神經幹細胞分化。又此胜肽對多巴胺前驅細胞有促分化的效果,主要是透過表徵遺傳調控多巴胺神經細胞分化所需之相關基因的表現。本實驗室希望將調控多巴胺神經細胞發育基因表現的相關機制,應用於巴金森氏症的治療上。 |
Our laboratory use primary nerve cells as a platform to study neurodegenerative diseases, especially for Parkinson's disease. We are trying to find drugs to protect dopaminergic neurons and to investigate its mechanism, and as a basis for animal experiments. In addition, We discover that neuropeptide urocortin can affect cell cycle resulting in inducing neural stem cell differentiation. This peptide can epigenetically regulate dopaminergic neuron differentiation related gene, as a consequence, it promote the dopamine precursor cells toward its destined phenotype. We hope to utilize the developmental gene expression mechanism of dopaminergic neuron in the treatment of Parkinson's disease. |
